Inside the mill

AL KUMAŞ fabrics are made at the Alteks mills in Kahramanmaraş, a family-owned knitted fabric and textile finishing business operating since 1996.

Yarn and knitting
01

Yarn and knitting

Production starts with yarn selection, supported by our group spinning company Alkaplar İplik. Circular knitting lines produce single jersey, interlock, rib, piqué, two- and three-thread fleece, textured and jacquard structures.

Dyeing and colour development
02

Dyeing and colour development

In the dyehouse each colour is developed against an ALK code, a Pantone Textile reference or your own swatch. Lab dips are approved before bulk dyeing, and every lot is checked in the shade room.

Finishing
03

Finishing

Enzyme washing, silicone softening, compacting, brushing and anti-pilling finishes set the hand, the appearance and the shrinkage behaviour of each fabric.

Printing
04

Printing

Reactive and pigment printing on knitted bases, from the 285 designs in our archive or from your own artwork.

Laboratory and quality
05

Laboratory and quality

The textile laboratory checks colour, weight and fabric behaviour during development and production, so your bulk matches the approved standard.

Packing and export
06

Packing and export

Rolls are packed, labelled by lot and prepared for dispatch from Kahramanmaraş to buyers in Türkiye and abroad.

Part of a textile group

The Alteks group includes Alkaplar İplik (yarn), Dama Örgü (knitting) and Alteks Tricot in Romania, which serves buyers across Europe.
