Compose the whole casual dress rather than an oversized sports graphic
Place artwork on the full intended torso and skirt outline, with neckline, waist if defined and finished hem marked. Decide whether the design is a small identity detail, a broad colour field or a repeated motif. Review the casual standing, walking and seated views the programme needs. A graphic borrowed from a training top can meet a different fold or pocket at dress length. The visual brief should describe that actual arrangement, without allowing an athletic-looking print to imply a sports rating, protective function or built-in support feature the dress has not been specified to provide.
Identify the offered material before colour development
PF-121 is recorded as 92% recycled polyester and 8% elastane at 130, 142, 154, 166 and 178 g/m², with the finish label Moisture management + quick dry. SJ-102 is 95% cotton and 5% elastane single jersey, enzyme and compacted, at 170, 180, 190, 200 and 210 g/m². Ask the processor to assess the precise offered substrate and finish. These records do not establish print availability, application compatibility or fastness results. A shared artwork file cannot transfer approval between the two routes, especially if one proposed dress also uses another inside layer.
Judge the actual colour with its specified lining relationship
If lining belongs to the design, compare its chosen material and colour inside the outer sample rather than approve them as unrelated swatches. Record the governing physical reference for the shell and the intended relationship between layers. If another inside colour changes the observed outer appearance, identify the sample and conditions before asking the dye team to correct the body. A darker shell is not an opacity guarantee, and a matching inside shade does not establish coverage. Keep any technical coverage question separate from whether the designer prefers the proposed visual combination.
Resolve artwork around pockets before the bag is final
Mark any specified pocket opening, bag and attachment on the placement drawing. Decide whether the print should align, interrupt deliberately or avoid that region. Review the actual sewn dress empty and with representative contents where the programme requires them. If a shape or fold interrupts a motif, ask whether the issue belongs to placement or pocket construction before choosing a correction. Do not introduce a pocket solely to match a sportswear reference or approve artwork across a region whose eventual component arrangement is still unknown.
Use moving and seated views to choose intentional interruptions
Observe the graphic during ordinary steps and in the intended seated position, with the sample at its actual length and fit. Decide which folds are part of the design and which indicate a changed pattern or placement is needed. CottonWorks connects visual design with construction choices; the full casual-dress composition still needs a programme decision. If the designer changes skirt ease or hem position, revisit the graphic rather than apply the earlier top-half approval to the longer panel automatically. Keep the same sample identities so the comparison remains meaningful.

Request colour-transfer evidence for all specified materials
AATCC's public index distinguishes rubbing, perspiration and laundering colourfastness categories. Have a qualified provider select applicable current methods and requirements for the actual shell, application and relevant contrasting inside or pocket components. Those method listings do not supply results for these articles. A visually accepted two-layer colour relationship is not proof of care durability or resistance to transfer. If a component is substituted, keep the tested and new identities separate. Do not add cooling, wicking or skin-related benefits to the colour story because the shell carries a functional finish label.

Release the complete visual configuration and its unresolved scope
Retain shell article, offered weight, finish, governing shade, artwork, pattern and actual inside and pocket references with the accepted full-dress views. State whether approval covers shade, the layer relationship or the complete decorated assembly. If the lining area, pocket or length changes, identify what must be reviewed again before a new instruction. The production reference should reproduce a deliberate casual-dress appearance while keeping unconfirmed application capability, opacity and colour-care evidence visible. One attractive photograph is not approval of unrequested inner shorts or a universal athletic use.
