The cell structure drives breathability

In a piqué construction the loops form small openings across the surface. Those openings increase airflow and make the fabric feel less clinging than flat jersey. In corporate and promotional wear the difference shows up as all-day comfort.

Collar and cuff are a separate decision

Even when the body is piqué, collars and cuffs are usually produced separately as rib or knitted collars. If those parts are not dyed in the same batch as the body, a shade difference appears. Ask for shell-and-trim colour matching at order stage.

Pilling and after-wash appearance

In the 190–250 g/m² piqué band, pilling resistance depends on yarn quality together with any anti-pilling treatment. The test method and the minimum acceptable grade belong in the technical file.
