In functional knits, performance does not come from one finish. Fibre, construction and finishing work together — and the test method has to be agreed at the same time as the target.
Recycled polyester with elastane is a common base for moisture transfer and recovery. The same blend behaves differently in a different loop structure, so construction and finishing are one decision, not two.
How far the fabric extends matters less than whether it returns. Bagging at knees and elbows almost always traces back to recovery, not extension. Report both values independently.
Without a defined wash temperature, drying method and cycle count, shrinkage results cannot be compared. Build the test plan around the intended care label.
